Apple has released it’s new iPhone 2.0 software update this morning.  This includes the new App store and lots of cool Third Party programs for the iPhone.  However, the Push technology (for apps like AIM) is still unavailable for a few months, most likely being released sometime in September.

MobileMe is still not available, but the site states that it will be very soon.

Microsoft Exchange is now supported!  So all of you hard working business people who have iPhones can now access all of your exchange information and accounts.

firefoxGoing to be released on Tuesday.  This new browser version offers more speed, reliability, and security.  Bookmarks are the main feature, however, as Firefox has added tag’s and a recent pages called “places” to it’s browser.  Pages you visit often but haven’t bookmarked yet are stored here, and Firefox will even sort your bookmarks according to the tags you specify.  Quite neat, huh.

The team is also trying to set a world record for most software downloads in one 24-hour period.  Go to www.firefox.com Tuesday and help them out.

Microsoft is also working on Internet Explorer 8.  More details to arrive soon.

Apple’s WWDC 2008 Steve Jobs Key Note June 12, 2008

As we all know by now, Apple had it’s Keynote on Monday at 10 a.m. San Francisco time.  If you haven’t had a chance to see it, watch it now:

Unfortunately, I was not there.  But I was there in Spirit and I was definitely tearing up as I heard Steve Jobs introduce the iPhone 3G to the world.  Not only is it faster, but also it is slimmer on the edges and it has longer battery life.  The only disappointment that Apple gave us about the iPhone 3G was that it did not have a front facing camera for video calling, which has been a feature many people have been asking for for quite some time.  Although, with the $199.99 price tag and GPS, you can’t begin to complain about having video calls.  Although I DO believe that Apple will introduce this sometime in the near future in a more expensive version of the iPhone.

You can say bye-bye to my old, obsolete, iPhone, and hello to the new iPhone 3G.  I think I shall sell it to my brother. :)
